LarvaTracker: Autonomous Robot for Mosquito Breeding Site Detection & Treatment
Capstone Research Project
Led software development of a six-wheeled autonomous robot that patrols areas, detects mosquito breeding sites using YOLOv8 computer vision, and automatically applies larvicide upon confirmation. Developed Python-based system logic on Raspberry Pi 5, integrating ESP32, sensors, motors, and camera. Applied software engineering and QA practices throughout: debugging, system validation, and iterative real-world testing. Published in IJERIP and awarded 3rd Best Paper at IRC-CPE 2026.
